The Dave Silver Band (dsb)
The Dave Silver Band, also known as "dSb", has been entertaining audiences in the SoCal area since 2001. With a variety of influences, dSb's original music ranges from hard rock to edgy, soulful ballads. Their "cover" music draws from the great classic rock songs we've grown up on.
dSb has opened for some of the greats in the rock world such as Eric Burdon & The Animals, America, Johnny Rivers, Dave Mason, The Tubes, The Zombies, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Gary Sinise's Lt. Dan Band, Pat Travers and Orleans. dSb has performed at many of SoCal's top venues including The Hard Rock Cafe, The Galaxy Theater, The Coach House, The Orange International Street Fair, and The Orange Blossom Festival.
The original members of the band were Dave Silver (lead guitar), Fred Aiello (lead vocals), Kirk Dennis (drums), Dennis Mayerski (rhythm guitar), Grant Dawdy (keyboards), and Mark Hendrix (bass). In 2002, dSb's first CD, "Leave It Alone", was released. Early in 2003, Mark Hendrix moved on, and Keith Kar stepped in as bass guitarist. In 2004, the second CD, "Modern Man", was released.
Individual creativity within the band was more than dSb could contain and in 2005, the band underwent a major restructure. Dave Silver and Dennis Mayerski continued on with new songs and new members, cousins Jamie and Lalo Maraboto on bass and drums respectively. But personal pursuits forced Jamie and Lalo to depart from the band in 2006.
In 2007, drummer Kirk Dennis invited the original members of dSb to a gig where he was performing with bassist Patrick "Oz" Osgood. They reunited for a guest performance of "Small Town Romeo" and received thunderous applause. Soon after, the original members of dSb reformed with Oz staying in on bass guitar.
dSb is now tighter than ever and ready to entertain you!
